How do I begin to describe this film or these two humans? Words like romantic, whimsical & thoughtful come to mind but it doesn't nearly do them justice. Every interaction I had with these two leading up to, during & after the elopement felt as if I were speaking with a poet. Not only were they were able to articulate themselves beautifully... but they also visually expressed their love, unlike anything I had ever seen.
Being able to watch their plans come together & execute felt like a movie I would want to watch on repeat. The way they were able to take what was supposed to be a beautiful, grand destination elopement and turn it into an (arguably) even more beautiful & intimate elopement within Vancouver is a testament to this.
I am deeply grateful that I was able to witness their special day. I am even more grateful that they trusted me enough to capture their once in a lifetime event. From Fairmont Pacific to the gorgeous Hycroft Manor... all the way down to Vancouver Harbourside for a yacht ride during sunset, this day was something special. Condensing the most beautiful moments into three minutes while maintaining the integrity of the day proved itself to be extremely challenging. Luckily Elina & Art have just been all around amazing & I think we've gotten to a final product that really fits who they are.
